Where did we leave off... Chloe was sleeping peacefully.
Evan and I played cars stuck in the mud until Chloe woke up. She didn't sleep long. So, we found lots to do to stay occupied. Evan had his RC Rock Crawler all over the house (he couldn't really drive his old one in the house because it was too fast, bu this one has a low gear perfect for indoor driving).
Chloe had her kitties everywhere! This time they joined her for playing in the rice box.
It is amazing the amount of good conversation and imaginative play that have come from sitting around a box of rice ;-) It's messy but very worth it.Then, we heard the rumble of the Jeep pulling in the driveway. "Dad's home!!!" We all ran to the door to fight over who would hug him first. Evan always wins.
Todd warmed up his frozen appendages on the heater vent while cuddling with Evan...
...and Chloe kept on playing kitties.
We decided to order pizza instead of cook (yay!) and that gave us more time to play.... do these kids ever get tired of playing??? No, they don't.
Evan what are you eating tonight?
Show me what else Dad got you for later...
Anything to hide from the camera lately. About 10 minutes into dinner Evan had broken off a piece of that huge cookie to share with his baby sister. How sweet! She picked it up and started saying "Eeeee-too Eeeee-too Eeeee-tooooo!" (that would be Me Too!). For what??
That's her cookie and pizza, just like Evan did. After dinner (just like every night) the wrestling match began....

Lots of growling, laughing, pounding, punching and yelling. Sometimes crying. And often a little portion of "Down!!" with Chloe.
Then we spent an hour winding them back down, getting jammies on...
...brushing teeth, reading bedtime books, cuddling, nursing the baby, tucking everyone in and......finally collapsing.

Yay!!! A picture of mom in there!! And she didn't even have to take it herself! Good man Todd! We want to see more of your beautiful wife - stop hogging her all to yourself!!!
I love seeing Bree in the pictures! Thanks Todd!
What a fun day! Hmm, a big box of rice, eh?? Great idea!
What time do they wake up/nap, if Chloe is going to take one that day/go to sleep? We can't decide on Michael's schedule...
Chloe has no "schedule" but instead more of a "routine." Evan is always the more scheduled one. But, I guess it is something like this:
Up around 6:30am. Nap around noon (for 45 min -- 2 hrs). Begin bedtime routine by 6:15pm. Chloe in bed by 6:45pm. Evan in bed by 7pm (sometimes Chloe is sound asleep by then and sometimes she is wide awake till well after 8pm.) Evan is usually asleep by 7:30pm.
One thing we have always done with both kids is even if they didn't sleep for their nap they were in their bed for "rest-time." All kids go through phases of no naps for a while, but we never stop making them take a rest. Eventually they start napping again.
