The decorated chair really got her attention :-) Then she grabbed her gift from us and got to work.
Right after opening her spotted mother horse and nursing foal set, we started special breakfast time. Her request this year: chocolate yogurt (Stonyfield makes this) and peach jelly toast.
After breakfast, she colored some horse pictures which we had put out on the table, and did our weight and height traditions -- she is 31 pounds and nearly 39 inches tall.
Then we had to get ready for church.
She got a brief nap and put on her party dress before everyone came at 3pm. As the family was arriving and we were waiting for everyone invited to get here she kept asking, "When's my party mom?" which really meant when do I get to eat cake.
Turns out a horse picture on a cake costs about eight dollars more so.... we opted for the plastic add-ons from our toybox which she really thought was a good idea.
Happy Birthday to you!!!!!!
It was too hot and humid to move the festivities outside so we crammed into the living room for presents. She was all smiles and silliness and narrating in her sweet cartoon voice as she went along. Horses and more horses and a huge jar of pop beads and play-doh and magnetic 'paper' dolls and a harmonica and SPOKE BEADS for her bike!!!! Those stole the entire show. For real.
She hugged everyone and thanked everyone and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the day!
Here she is, all grown into a big kid!

This morning Evan and Chloe played for almost two hours with the horses and the lego horse barn and this was all before eating breakfast!
Then it was onto the beads for another hour.
She was blessed with some wonderful gifts and the presence of her family here to celebrate. Thanks to everyone who made her days so special!!
