The Christmas Wrap Up

We celebrated Christmas with two fun-filled present opening ceremonies :-)

***********************

First Christmas was at my Mom's house on the Sunday before Christmas. Lots of kids and chaos... but we all survived! Here are some of my favorite moments:

Chloe was sweetly sitting and very focused on tearing up paper. Such a dainty girl sometimes.

She got a Clifford DVD set that I'm sure will get a lot of use this winter! Some new pet-shops......and lots of other goodies of which most of my pictures are blurry :-(

***********************
Evan approaches presents differently -- he gets into all kinds of positions to tear, rip and dismantle packaging and paper. He is so very serious, it's comical.
Here's a cool bulldozer...

Some k-nex...A green quad... He takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r to open his pile of presents. Always has, probably always will.

***********************
Both the kids got a swirl paint set to share and it was a HUGE hit the next day when we tried it out.

Even the quad had to steal a glance at that artwork :-)

***********************

Second Christmas was actually on Christmas day and we traveled to Cleveland to be with Todd's family for the day. Such a nice visit :-)

Chloe did the same routine again, sitting pretty and ripping neatly... she was tired from the long drive, so there weren't a lot of smiles during the opening... but she did love her gifts!
Fuzzy slippers :-)
Snowman and some new playmobil figures
and lots of goodies in her stocking :-)

***********************
Evan, as usual, was all business. He got a race track that I think sparked his interest. Can you tell??

Back to being soooo serious....Cool animal book...New monster truck t-shirt...
And his main gift from us was a NEW kitten family to call his own....
So soft and clean!!!

Immediately after opening these he handed all his four old ones over to Chloe and the entire OLD kitten family (her original two plus his old four) became her "gift."

This has brought much peace to our home :-) and to the sibling relationship in general... observe:

So, there you have it... sorry it took so long to get this up on here (Liz! I know you were waiting!) but we just spent such a nice day together here, playing and talking and lounging, that I just had to wait till after the kiddos were in bed.

And to all of you who might have been expecting Christmas cards from us with a nice current family photo in them... um, we didn't do one this year... sorry!... Maybe we will get around to mailing out at least a photo sometime in January. We have to actually get one of those first. For now, we are working on Evan's smile and Chloe responding well to flash photography...
Things aren't looking too promising.

But at least you can see us here :-) and aren't those new Christmas jammies the cutest??

Merry Christmas!!

I was waiting!! I am going through Monde withdraw and this blog helps ease it!! No complaints about waiting, though, as you can see I have not posted our Cmas or anything since the 17th. Like you guys, we are trying to focus on family time and enjoying the holiday without working too much. So the blog comes second to that!! Love you guys and we'll call to set up a get together!!
