Ice Sledding

We met up with friends and their kids this morning to do some sledding together. The sun was warm and the wind was cold and the ground was absolutely f-r-o-z-e-n. It was super slippery and no one got seriously hurt. This kind of packed down snow is such a different experience from sledding in soft powder, but the kids had such fun. They were all over the place trying different hills and paths and methods of going up and down the slippery slopes.

I didn't take many pictures since all he kids ran off and left us grown-ups to talk :-) This one shows Evan head-first (click to enlarge)As you can see they didn't even need sleds.

And here's Chloe doing the same.
She did not cry today even though she was really tired and cold. And we were outside for about two hours in 25 degree weather. This is progress, no?
